After an analysis of the technological and economic impacts of AI and the implications on competition and data privacy, the third part of the book explores the complex and evolving relationship between AI and intellectual property law, focusing on some key insights from recent case law, and proposes potential solutions.
In this section, introduced by Professor Mario Franzosi, Gabriella Muscolo examines the legal issues and economic incentives for protecting Big Data, algorithms and AI with intellectual property rights.
Next, Mario Franzosi and Martina Dani explore the challenges that AI poses to the traditional patent system, with a focus on the evaluation of AI-generated inventions, as well as inventor qualification and liability for AI-induced infringements.
Alongside them are numerous experts from institutions, academia and professions in Italy and worldwide. The work boasts a prologue by Gustavo Ghidini and an epilogue by Stefano Longhini.
